What is an active patient?

A patient is active in a preceding month if any of the following occurred:
‍
1. Pathway was started
2. Action was activated
3. Reminder was triggered

Example: a patient is enrolled in a flow in January and activities are activated in January, February and March. No activities are activated in April and May. In June one more activity is activated after which the flow is completed. This patient will be billed in January, February, March and June.

Whether a patient has 1 active flow and 1 activity in a given month, or 100 flows with 1000 activities, that patient will be billed only once in that month. This means Awell is supporting the creation of flows with many interactions which drives patient compliance, care quality and patient safety.

How scalable is Awell?

Our integrations and infrastructure are designed to handle large volumes of patients.

Is your platform secure?

All interactions with our software as well as all data processing is end to end encrypted according to standards set for the banking industry. We are GDPR and HIPAA compliant and ISO27001 certified. That is a certification for how we deal with information security. We do regular external audits of our processes as well as our infrastructure in order to evolve our security continuously.

Can you integrate with my EMR?

Yes, we can integrate with any EMR out there. And to prove it, we are willing to do a proof of concept on a test environment that doesn’t take more than a day from your IT team. Contact us to know more.
